These guest houses are often called "dar" (arabic word for house) or "riad" (also written "ryad" or "riyad"). Traditionally a ryad has a garden, but nowdays many houses without a garden are called ryads. Our selection only includes ryads with garden, some have an external garden, outside of the patio, some a garden inside the central patio, most also offer one or several roof top terraces with flowers, plants or even trees. Visit-Fez also proposes a selection of riads (dars) without garden but which we have selected for their terraces.
