Who are we ?

Visit Fez is a naturelover's travel guide to Fez, one of the most attractive city in Morocco. Visit Fez provides information to help you organize your stay in Fez and around Fez. But Visit Fez is not only a travel guide on Fez, it is also used as a mean to promote sustainable tourism in the countryside of Northern Morocco and to help protect one of the most beautiful cedar tree forest in the world.

Visit Fez is developed in cooperation with www.marocecotourisme.com, in order to promote and develop sustainable forms of tourism in the region of Fez and Northern Morocco.
Beside Fez with its exceptional cultural heritage, the very beautiful countryside and mountains around Fez offer a unique natural and cultural heritage (see excursions around Fez), with a great biodiversity which really needs to be protected and transmitted to future generations. The idea behind this portal is to inform each visitor coming to Fez, about this heritage and try to motivate locals and tourists to behave in a responsible manner and adopt sustainable forms of tourism.

In the city of Fez itself, "Visit Fez" wants to motivate hotels, guest houses owners and other tourist operators to develop sustainable behaviors (save water, develop solar energy, promote local handicrafts, serve products from local farms...). Today, very few of the operators we have listed have invested in this direction. Some are starting. If the demand from responsible tourists with a sustainable approach increases, operators will quickly understand that it is worth investing in this direction.
